Napoleon was born in Ajaccio in 1769. Corsica’s rugged spirit shaped the fire he carried into the empire he later built.

The Marches d’Aragon are 187 steps carved into Bonifacio’s cliff, said to have been built by Aragonese troops during the 1420 siege.

Corsica boasts a rich winemaking heritage, with vineyards dating back to the 6th century BC. Today, the island produces a diverse array of wines, including reds, whites, rosés, and Muscat, crafted from both native and international grape varieties.
